He married one of the sweetest, most beautiful girls, and I am so happy to have her in our family! The wedding could not have been more fun! My family (extended included) always ends up being the last ones on the dance floor. I guess we don't care about looking crazy and letting loose once the deal is done. :) Fortunately, our new family member is quite uninhibited when it comes to dancing, too!<br />

<br />
Before the wedding, the family and I got to head over to the city and check out Fisherman's Warf, Ghirardelli Sqaure, and eat at Bubba Gumps. We didn't get to visit Alcatraz or ride a trolley car, but hopefully we'll get to that on a future trip!<br />

On Saturday we headed up to Oakdale, CA, to have lunch and an ice cream social at Christy's family ranch. The the weather and scenery were so beautiful! We had fun exploring the ranch, checking out the cows and chicken dens, and enjoying our last day together.<br />

Although the trip was amazing, it wasn't entirely complete without my hubby there. This handsome man had to stay back for quizzes both on Thursday and Friday. I was doing pretty well without him until the dj asked for a couples dance at the wedding, and I was left sitting alone wishing ( crying ) he was with me. I miss the days of undergrad when you could leave whenever you wanted to, and makeup quizzes and tests if you had a good enough reason. At least he's doing what he's always dreamed of though! So proud of him!<br />

It seems that the small town life suits me quite well.:) The locals in town are so nice, the atmosphere is much less rushed than Salt Lake, and there are so many wonderful couples that we have made friends with that make this place so much better! Here's what we've been up to lately....<br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Though it's been kinda tough with Daniel in school and studying so much ( 8am-6pm, then 7:30 to 9:30 pm) I have still been having fun meeting and spending time with amazing girls! I think the full time med student life had really helped bring us closer together faster than we might have become in a normal situation. I'm so grateful for the new friends we have made. One of the many reasons why I love him is because he loves food almost as much as I do.... almost. I can say without hesitation that eating is one of the things that I love doing most in life, and it makes me genuinely happy. I consider myself very lucky to have found a man that loves eating, too... and is not only willing, but WANTS to spend extra time and/or money on food!! I love him :)!<br />
<br />
Last Saturday we kinda went crazy with the whole " one new restaurant a month" thing, and we ended up going to two new restaurants.... and one more old one. For lunch we decided that we <i>had</i> to go to <i>Tony Caputos</i> again to try the meatball sandwich. It was heaven. Seriously.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEy7HFkes8wN1JakBq-HyTT_A6vty6amZjSyEHQvoiIOqGybZ-3CEpE4jHxjzFNQPNxVlkF43-GabU_zuWgOmdIPup1IMXjWnXUARPhxBEafgJ3Z4BPN-zXUUbdgbyHWvMirreBXEm4ICN/s1600/IMG_0859.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEy7HFkes8wN1JakBq-HyTT_A6vty6amZjSyEHQvoiIOqGybZ-3CEpE4jHxjzFNQPNxVlkF43-GabU_zuWgOmdIPup1IMXjWnXUARPhxBEafgJ3Z4BPN-zXUUbdgbyHWvMirreBXEm4ICN/s320/IMG_0859.JPG" width="320" /></a></div> ( Don't be fooled by the picture. The objects shown are much larger than they appear.)<br />
<br />
Right after we satisfied ourselves with some yummy meatballs, we walked a few steps down to <i>Bruges Waffles & Frites. </i>It's a little building right next to Caputos that only sells Belgium waffles, Belgium fries, and some random mixtures of fries and sausage. We got a cinnamon waffle with strawberries and cream and some frites with special sauce. This is a definitely a place we'll be visiting again!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLXK_zzDezAiDfNxhyphenhypheneaVfC2mrJyFqpv5h0jOZfbpiLUr0hubuKZscvw7jlXC1OMUyCv4tGCGdUezPWDsMcI3t4jrPCgvUCjsA6_jRmNnQdO9QoT-QnwAmGmez2dqBddytbTFA4In1fdeO/s1600/IMG_0862.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLXK_zzDezAiDfNxhyphenhypheneaVfC2mrJyFqpv5h0jOZfbpiLUr0hubuKZscvw7jlXC1OMUyCv4tGCGdUezPWDsMcI3t4jrPCgvUCjsA6_jRmNnQdO9QoT-QnwAmGmez2dqBddytbTFA4In1fdeO/s320/IMG_0862.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Later that night, we dined with our friends at the <i>Red Iguana</i>. This is the most authentic Mexican restaurant I have been to in Utah. I was really impressed!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">So mmmm... yum..... that's all I have to say. </div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1552315149484270168.post-63271301266150790412011-02-22T21:05:00.000-08:002011-02-22T21:05:52.318-08:00Phantom, a Baby and Greek FoodHubby and I went on a quick trip to Vegas the weekend before V-day to see <i>Phantom of the Opera</i>. Though <i>Phantom</i> did not meet my expectations, it still was a cool show with an amazing set and lovely music. The only reason I say it wasn't amazing is because the whole show seemed way rushed; there was no intermission and it was only an hour and a half long. However, the set was crazy ( especially the floating chandelier) and the songs were beautiful. After the show, we went on over to Serendipity to have some frozen hot chocolate. It was Hubby's first time trying it and he loved it to say the least. That night we stayed at the Trump Hotel, which Hubby loved extra because it spelled wonderful! The bed was so cozy, the view was....amazing, and there was a TV in the bathroom mirror; it was awesome. Donald treated us well. :)<div><br />

</div><div>What made the weekend even better was finding out that my little nephew had arrived Sunday morning! I may be biased, but he is so....... cute! Seriously a handsome man. I get to hold his wobbly little body in 2 weeks and I could not be more excited! I saw him on iChat tonight and wanted to melt when I saw his eyes open and his tiny forehead get all wrinkled up. Precious. </div><div><br />

</div><div>This last week we ate at a Greek restaurant near the U of U called <i>Aristos</i>. It was definitely a satisfying, new experience. I'm not much of a Greek eater; I have had a bad run-in with a gyro and lamb kabobs. However, this place has altered my opinion of Greek food, making me realize that some Greek <b>is </b>amazing and not all of it will make you barf. I could not get enough of our eggplant, spinach and feta cheese stuffed chicken, and pepper/ feta cheese dip thing with pita bread. The pepper/ feta dip <i>will </i> give you heartburn, but I promise it is worth it. If you're in the Salt Lake area you should definitely hit up <i>Aristos. </i>It will make you happy. Promise. </div><div><i><br />

I guess I shouldn't be surprised; I hardly write in my journal either. Hopefully one of my New Years resolutions will help fix at least one of those issues.<br />
<div><br />
</div><div>Hubby and I have decided to try out a new restaurant each month instead of resorting to the same old ones each time we go out. I figure we'll find a new restaurant, take a few pictures, and walla! - a reason to post! </div><div><br />
</div><div>Before I give an update on my new favorite places to eat, I'll do a quick recap of what has been going on since December.</div><div><br />
</div><div>At the beginning of December, one of my best friends, Christina, came to visit for the weekend. We went to Park City and scored some great things at the outlets. We also ate at a yummy restaurant called Jean Lois. If you're ever in Park City, you <b>must</b> go there! It was so great to have her here with us!</div><div><br />
</div><div>We also found out that Hubby got into medical school! He was accepted into a few places, but as of now we are settled on his top choice - A.T. Still University in Kirksville, MO. I'm still adjusting to the idea of not only living in Missouri, but in a small town with a Wal-Mart as the main store for shopping. On the bright side, it is <i><b>extremely </b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;">safe (which is great for my paranoia), and Hubby's family (including a few sisters in-law) live only an hour away. I think it will be an interesting adventure that I'm definitely warming up to. I am so proud of him and know he will be such an amazing doctor (and definitely the cutest one ever :) ). </span></i></div><div><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"><br />
</span></i></div><div><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;">For Christmas we went home to California for a little over a week. The weather was perfect! I was so thankful to be out of the snow. We had an amazing Christmas with lots of food and family time. It is </span>sooo<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"> relaxing to be home and have nothing to worry about except hanging out with the people I love most, and eating until my hearts content! </span></i></div><div><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"><br />
</span></i></div><div><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;">I was also able to get together with J.A.C.L, and to meet our newest member for the first time! Little Haddie is the cutest baby ever. I'm so excited for Jessie and can't wait to see that cute little person again at our next reunion! </span></i></div><div><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">So for our first new restaurant experience, we went out to a pizza place called Setabellos. Honestly, it was the best pizza I have <b><i>EVER </i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal;">had! It was so good, in fact, that Hubby and I got another pizza only three hours after the date with our friends. We couldn't help it. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">For February (though it was technically Jan. 28th) we went to a place called Tony Caputos. I am now working in a law firm in downtown Salt Lake and I couldn't be happier. I was originally only supposed to temp for a week, but it turned into a permanent thing! The people that I work with are amazing, and I couldn't have asked for a better opportunity.<br />
<br />
Hubby and I also were able to fly home for the fourth to spend time with my family in Lake Arrowhead. We enjoyed lots of food, wake boarding,and fireworks. The weather could not have been better! I miss my family already, but I am so thankful we were able to get away for a few days.<br />
<br />
Hubby and I also decided to train for a half marathon with one of our good friends. It's September 11th in Spanish Fork. Wish us luck! Lets hope I make it!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1552315149484270168.post-41019728640893879322010-06-17T21:35:00.001-07:002010-06-18T12:55:21.749-07:00ChampsDear Lakers,<br />

Thank you for winning. I would have never been able to live it down if you lost. Hubby loves your enemy. So thanks.<br />

After we graduated, Hubby and I drove home with his family to Missouri ( ~18 hour trip mind you). We had fun celebrating his birthday (25th) and enjoying the yummy spring weather. After a week, I went home to California to be with my family. I had lots of fun those two weeks attending two amazinggggg weddings, getting mani/pedis, going to the beach often ( I'm now an acceptable shade for my liking), shopping with mom ( thank you!) hanging out with grammy, talking to my brother on his mission, enjoying my first mother's day home in four years, eating a ton, and spending wonderful days and nights with my family. They really are the best. After two weeks, both Hubby and I flew home to Salt Lake to spend time together before I left on my girls trip to North Carolina. Hubby has already started his Masters at the U, and is really enjoying his classes. In North Carolina I had an amazing time with two of my very best friends ( one of which is my cousin). We ate some great southern food like fried pickles, chicken and dumplings, and some not so good food like shrimp and grits. We had a "baby shower"for our friend Jessie who is 5 months pregnant. Lex and I had lots of fun sewing baby gifts for Jessie's little girl. We also went strawberry picking, saw the documentary, <i>Babies</i>, ate the best ice cream ever, went to a drive-thru farm where we fed zebras, giraffes, pigs, lamas, and were attacked my emus. We drove to Charleston, SC, where we ate more good food, went on a ghost tour, caught a picture of a ghost on Jessie's phone ( good job Jess!), explored Boone Hall plantation, and finally returned home.<br />
I am now back at home with Hubby, which I am so grateful for after being away for so long. He's just getting through classes while I do my best to find a job in this city. If any of you who read this know anyone who is hiring, let me know; I'd appreciate it!! Wish us luck on this new chapter.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1552315149484270168.post-46616518461202100622010-03-31T19:20:00.000-07:002010-04-01T07:34:10.931-07:00Our new flat<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3pA6UrB5hyphenhyphenPZ9roxQFM1HLOrRJDJcKPTLGd95H7PNA6a0zdxiRfq3RDtwv7yKHdGR627Ng1u4tuKUm2AQbVoHk8Xe8OZ6ARxDGiJqama55fIXDvJ0yVjFr6xoWJ_PwLvARtraC4-pMHpO/s1600/bed.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3pA6UrB5hyphenhyphenPZ9roxQFM1HLOrRJDJcKPTLGd95H7PNA6a0zdxiRfq3RDtwv7yKHdGR627Ng1u4tuKUm2AQbVoHk8Xe8OZ6ARxDGiJqama55fIXDvJ0yVjFr6xoWJ_PwLvARtraC4-pMHpO/s320/bed.jpg" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoD87sNJAsFHQ5vNGODHko4G1oPUGjC7G64mFXjeVeJqtxCpGQncuMFNIMFfyx7pjTrMNK0lZTaNyqPmNNDXgomQZT2pZyGHJ5ko-Nt3sHh7zTwi58Fd70qaApEKzC7jsDctwYM1kci3Ys/s1600/living.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoD87sNJAsFHQ5vNGODHko4G1oPUGjC7G64mFXjeVeJqtxCpGQncuMFNIMFfyx7pjTrMNK0lZTaNyqPmNNDXgomQZT2pZyGHJ5ko-Nt3sHh7zTwi58Fd70qaApEKzC7jsDctwYM1kci3Ys/s320/living.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div>So we finally found a new place to live! We are soooo excited. Hubby does not like moving from one place to another because of the change, but I love it because I get to organize! However, I hate, hate, hate the looking process. It is so stressful. But thankfully we have found a place that will be an adventure for us. It is in a big old house in Salt Lake that was split up into 4 separate apartments. Ours is in the front of the house on the second floor. It's happy, open, and has lots of light. We've never lived so deeply in a large city like Salt Lake, but it will be a fun adventure that we are excited to experience together.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBA0hm-cj27nU_w_tP8NbRnUETHHJ7s2dGUIeT0-6Shb4d6lFZKn9QotGfjtOveG83vxN9Yu_bzJfWD-vsN7pdFgsp8ryM8SSgp7vsDsJs00TnEsLvGq8cP0AlYhUr6eVOnQrmfiw0ThLs/s1600/kitchen.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBA0hm-cj27nU_w_tP8NbRnUETHHJ7s2dGUIeT0-6Shb4d6lFZKn9QotGfjtOveG83vxN9Yu_bzJfWD-vsN7pdFgsp8ryM8SSgp7vsDsJs00TnEsLvGq8cP0AlYhUr6eVOnQrmfiw0ThLs/s320/kitchen.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">As a side note: my sister in law commented below that the city I'm from in CA is probably bigger than Salt Lake. This is likely true :). I know I've lived in a large city, but not any city that has huge/tall buildings like Salt Lake does.I can't think of the right word that would describe the difference between where I grew up and Salt Lake ( because I don't think where I grew up is considered a suburb necessarily). So if anyone can think of one to help me fill in my blank spot, that would be appreciated! </div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1552315149484270168.post-10712107145391456572010-03-08T08:56:00.000-08:002010-03-15T20:00:14.221-07:00Dumpster Diving<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcJv65loI3sRqwpC5VAawUpcBKqTd41IUewhapAoPef9yRJOmJ6qaBCGI8LXKcwz0sPXzVrKY1isysWGnetlJcOuiO2BzgM8eNOKAohgm44tTshM70_hXJ3eivMKvHUhr8ng4Av9RURq7_/s1600-h/images.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="260" kt="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcJv65loI3sRqwpC5VAawUpcBKqTd41IUewhapAoPef9yRJOmJ6qaBCGI8LXKcwz0sPXzVrKY1isysWGnetlJcOuiO2BzgM8eNOKAohgm44tTshM70_hXJ3eivMKvHUhr8ng4Av9RURq7_/s320/images.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
So last night I went dumpter diving. Why, you ask. For fun of course. No for real though, my husband and I had borrowed two DVD's from a friend, and we were heading out to walk down to her house to give them back. As we were walking out, we decided we might as well take out the trash. I had a milk carton and cereal box in one hand, and the movies in the other. After dumping out the trash, Hubby and I started our walk to our friend's house. I realized shortly after that we had forgotten the movies. We ran in the house and looked everywhere, but we couldn't find them. I then realized that it was a possibility that I threw them away. So I grabbed some running pants to put over the ones I was wearing, just in case I had to dive, and we walked out to the dumpter. Hubby spotted the first movie after leaning over the side of the dumpter and moving a box out of the way. He was ready to jump in, but I told him it wouldn't be fair since I was the one that threw them in in the first place. So, he helped me into the dumpster where I spent about 5 min or more fishing through all of our free flowing gross trash, other's gross trash, and diapers. Yes, yes, there were diapers EVERYWHERE! Where we live, almost all of our neighbors have babies, so there were plenty of free hanging diapers for me to step on a push to the side. Eventually, I found the other movie and then proceeded to scrub myself down mercilessly in the shower. I still want to barf thinking about it. It was funny though :). Have any of you had to dumpter dive? What's your story, or am I alone in this feat?Unknownnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1552315149484270168.post-40615393648718906652010-03-04T18:28:00.000-08:002010-03-04T18:28:15.695-08:00Attack of the flakes<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggfrP5UbYyyLbDs2Bi2x83IOFo4OcJE7rg0dx2cLXhDKTbNlpQxEhwE_DwwXNE4ZY-T9AUdnv-yIalOCb12NIQuDCrltbAU6bq7mVNT-Pf0kSNzhS03YTcsGEzrCz3WocUE_O7ckaj7tw4/s1600-h/images.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggfrP5UbYyyLbDs2Bi2x83IOFo4OcJE7rg0dx2cLXhDKTbNlpQxEhwE_DwwXNE4ZY-T9AUdnv-yIalOCb12NIQuDCrltbAU6bq7mVNT-Pf0kSNzhS03YTcsGEzrCz3WocUE_O7ckaj7tw4/s320/images.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
Dear winter storm,<br />
<br />
Though you look quite lovely, you are driving me nuts!<br />
<br />
Your soft flakes have apparently suffocated the satellite dish in the complex, which is consequently depriving me of watching a new episode of Bones.<br />
<br />
So if you don't mind, I'd appreciate you leaving again so the sun can come out like it was just hours ago.<br />
<br />
Thanks.<br />

Love,<br />

So we found out yesterday that Hubby got into the U to do a Public Health Masters. Yeah for hubby!! I know we are kinda traitors, considering we'll both be alumni of BYU who are crossing over to the other side, but we couldn't be more excited and thankful!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1552315149484270168.post-27686757651754274672010-02-22T13:33:00.000-08:002010-02-22T13:36:16.291-08:00Just because he loves me<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-_qcEic1GhCiGpCsCi-pKNAzWcOl2IPifCxKgQMVtT4bTKPaNpnKiE-1eCnT1ZN9ujNeaqxjTVMmrNGMm-oy_FuP7fb2dic4pyGykh-dX5U1teEtFeKZvkYj_8HstwP6WGBnxEA124S8j/s1600-h/Sunflowers+in+a+Vase+18x29+Oil.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-_qcEic1GhCiGpCsCi-pKNAzWcOl2IPifCxKgQMVtT4bTKPaNpnKiE-1eCnT1ZN9ujNeaqxjTVMmrNGMm-oy_FuP7fb2dic4pyGykh-dX5U1teEtFeKZvkYj_8HstwP6WGBnxEA124S8j/s320/Sunflowers+in+a+Vase+18x29+Oil.jpg" /></a></div><br />

Life has been very busy, but great! To tell you the truth, I've also really had nothing to write about. What have I missed? Well, we went to Missouri to hubby's parents house for 2 weeks. It was great till we both got sick the 3rd day there. Unfortunately we were sick the entire 2 weeks-- all through Christmas, my birthday, New Years, the first week of school... yep, all of it. It was still great to be with his family though. This school semester has been hard-- not necessarily because of a terribly heavy work load, but because we both finish in April and I cannot be more excited. I'm so tired I can barely stand it! Maybe it's because we watch Seinfield for too long while brushing our teeth but regardless, I need a break.<br />
<br />
Our Valentines day was amazing! Hubby had hinted that he had gotten me something that I'd love, so naturally I asked to get it before Valentines Day. I couldn't wait! I love surprises. But then I told him to keep whatever it was till the real holiday, but he surprised me early anyway!! I love him! It was this beautiful heart shaped necklace from Wilsons Diamonds ( anyone who's thinking of getting engaged in Provo should totally go there; it's a great place with wonderful things and great prices-we also go our rings there)Anyways, I was so ecstatic because I have been wanting one for so long. He's the best.<br />
<br />
Our school semester is almost over; there's still 2 and a half more months left but it's been going by surprisingly quick. We are anxiously trucking through the rest of our schooling, but are enjoying it nonetheless. Have a great day!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1552315149484270168.post-83361882337983163862009-10-03T13:45:00.000-07:002009-10-03T14:01:34.617-07:00Captures Photography<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgObSPXkbWnX2cdEIVV7bzlA7z9TtopTRGHCgVyTMQkHt3tKaa2sLUFz5wzq8qIDhvF-P4YaCUDnt4kzgagYN4zv4WuqMMjlTyH-lkBhaPAwcVgWx8RWsOT6je0FxI7469YmAsOnAcy53mR/s320/Bridals+33.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388479665027863938" /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">One of my friends from school has this amazing photography business she just started up called "Captured Photography." Though it is in fact our one year anniversary ( yeah for us!), it is also the day that my hubby is taking the dreaded <em><span style="color:#99ffff;">MCAT</span></em>. He is currently taking it at this very moment. It will take about 5 hours. Poor baby. He has worked so, so hard. I'm glad the test will finally be over for him today, both for his sake, and so I can have my husband back :). <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 228px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5369831519317440514" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJyw_YOCH8vWArszUF9Qs8oU9X-hgVCSKCRyRSl0Xj9fPNp9FWXbgRoCF3Shs1Z3nna2yylK-dBpNeuVD0dFck_Gk0rd90VGrKjPYuyKrBcoskKoqypiT4mjj7uiMiOF6JGk1D9_BNC5Kl/s320/temple.jpg" />However, we will be having a most amazing day after the fact. Tonight we are going to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, MacGrath's Fish House, seeing " The Time Traveler's Wife," and staying at the HYATT near the Gateway shopping center (All events are made possible thanks to Mom, Dad, and Graham Cracker; thank you so much!) We thought it would be fun to stay somewhere since we'll only have one, one year anniversary ever. It is also convenient because one of our very good friends is getting married right down the street the next day at 2:30, so we're really excited for that too. For those of you who know me well, you'd understand my excitement for an anniversary <em><strong>and</strong></em> a friend's wedding. If I've failed to mention it before,I love <em><span style="color:#ff0000;">LOVE</span></em>.<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 228px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5369831540378798914" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhL_5Ng5ouzuKI8WZnzquUungBgNrhxVrOPnSRZD_GPyrfGUG4yyIeUn_wzsZThGJZAX5bxhhXFcEjSNoBSzb3QrmJgtd3IzWxmSp4ZRGmXwwEvspteYTWyms_65s8oZfcadH1yT5hMdo2c/s320/sparkle.jpg" />We are so excited for our anniversary! It is a day set in history ( at least in our mental calender) that will give us another reason( though I don't need one; I still look at our wedding pictures almost every day) to remember, with fond memories, the day we were married, which allowed us to be together forever. I could not have asked for a better husband. Dan is the most genuine, sweet, and loving person I know. He fills me with more happiness than I think I can contain at times. I love him. Sorry for the cheesiness, but I needed to make a tribute to him. He's the best! Hubby and I got to go to my house two weeks before to see his farewell talk. He did a great job. It was my first time meeting her, and I was beyond impressed! She had so much energy! At one point we [ his 7 brothers, parents, aunts and uncles] all sat under a big oak tree and sang songs, something she loves doing. While we sang, she played the harmonica! She was bouncing up and down in her wheel chair while she blew away on the harmonica, leading us in some of her favorite songs. She then asked Hubby to serenade her with the song he and his brother's sang to me at our wedding; the song was "Duke of Earl."She loved it. <br /></div><br /><br /><div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center"><br /></div><div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5TvZjvFq8m8m2If5sxpLe0Dro8wWqoASsE0Rs7o6uSNi_1mLmx3ID7KMqFvFUwiE_j7OtvetNQMoNzJjzr4K6blNfbpuxwCaGAs_RxKySQbP6sPtrpEe-9rxOcMB9cL2e5lRVYHr7o1o2/s1600-h/CIMG2923.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: pointer" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5338065544854649890" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5TvZjvFq8m8m2If5sxpLe0Dro8wWqoASsE0Rs7o6uSNi_1mLmx3ID7KMqFvFUwiE_j7OtvetNQMoNzJjzr4K6blNfbpuxwCaGAs_RxKySQbP6sPtrpEe-9rxOcMB9cL2e5lRVYHr7o1o2/s320/CIMG2923.JPG" /></a></div><div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center">Serenading Grandma O</div><div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center"><br /></div><div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikuMgviLT8nW-yuA5a2s-HZEMqaD5_-8_IHPQjUKS40U5-O_YhlNx0EIaO4W6onzmNImPMdaQZGCxXKnGKidYgXiYGUg6WCfyT3SZKwiNQt23LcZCZtjD6dyd3Wuz49cyTS1i3jM378Vcy/s1600-h/CIMG2921.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: pointer" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5338065544994688866" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikuMgviLT8nW-yuA5a2s-HZEMqaD5_-8_IHPQjUKS40U5-O_YhlNx0EIaO4W6onzmNImPMdaQZGCxXKnGKidYgXiYGUg6WCfyT3SZKwiNQt23LcZCZtjD6dyd3Wuz49cyTS1i3jM378Vcy/s320/CIMG2921.JPG" /></a></div><div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center">The big tree we all sang under</div><div style="TEXT-ALIGN: left"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCI_A8IW1flVHnsPORdByZfTV7t9fy5NWo9peLbkIAs4AOA7H6Y73hxGiW7UPH14_IZfuRnUJZBM0MbUkxmwmEmaGh8Sxkg6ZusHUSwi-B20onpP49GvVa5W917X4pXKEDe05vZshPjFjM/s1600-h/CIMG2914.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: pointer" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5338065847062997378" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCI_A8IW1flVHnsPORdByZfTV7t9fy5NWo9peLbkIAs4AOA7H6Y73hxGiW7UPH14_IZfuRnUJZBM0MbUkxmwmEmaGh8Sxkg6ZusHUSwi-B20onpP49GvVa5W917X4pXKEDe05vZshPjFjM/s320/CIMG2914.JPG" /></a></div>The place that we stayed was in Carmel Valley... absolutely amazing! There is a perfect combination of huge, green rolling hills and the ocean. At the lodge each couple had their own little cottage. It was adorable! Unfortunately, I had to work and go to a class in Salt Lake and Hubby had his Kaplan class till 9 pm. Though we did not get to spend most of the day together, we did get to go to lunch at Panda Express ( his choice) and open two presents that morning. Later that night I surprised him by having some of his friends over to eat cake and ice cream and chat. It ended up being a pretty good day for my man! <br /></div><div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center"><br /></div><div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: pointer" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5338060343533066514" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_b8tblVOm2VDBB2-BC_MlXeq1oCgqkEuVsHRXXWjJ_U8ZltXhLvsjRC3k6mb-QYAX7FQcVFA253m7adyTgwXFMkxlCIPXdd8KdZGPJMUb0etyIu85dtNXmme2AwWS-k18DC_0DMxsKaJg/s320/CIMG2933.JPG" /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRgfS9tmwjFi3wDubD4COsP5tGJuZdMAcCyVFu1RMeBq4SsoEp1ZkJMddCCkpde8yAZjE8uIi15wcMpckLAb8ETOZUB1UaziP9PIZIN2499av5840vf2FcwgpCf2XWKGTPNX8I06hrh7fL/s1600-h/CIMG2940.JPG"></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRgfS9tmwjFi3wDubD4COsP5tGJuZdMAcCyVFu1RMeBq4SsoEp1ZkJMddCCkpde8yAZjE8uIi15wcMpckLAb8ETOZUB1UaziP9PIZIN2499av5840vf2FcwgpCf2XWKGTPNX8I06hrh7fL/s1600-h/CIMG2940.JPG"></a></div><div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center">Hubby in his new birthday shirt from his mommy :) </div><div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center"><br /></div><div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheBZ6MBV-T_FLwv33XmrI3xOKRDPlXZcdA4WQ9d5vmJGS_7F6nhDtNnPQV_VCjq2DRheUefVsbK_QchrRlnwEZFjv0qpj0XLVvlQi9h-wfGbgPbU7FZL-xPIOMW7-8QS1g7Xj3RrEb_CEL/s1600-h/CIMG2940.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: pointer" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5338061619045427298" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheBZ6MBV-T_FLwv33XmrI3xOKRDPlXZcdA4WQ9d5vmJGS_7F6nhDtNnPQV_VCjq2DRheUefVsbK_QchrRlnwEZFjv0qpj0XLVvlQi9h-wfGbgPbU7FZL-xPIOMW7-8QS1g7Xj3RrEb_CEL/s320/CIMG2940.JPG" /></a></div><div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center">A couple of Hubby's friends and Sampson and Brittany's new baby, Pheonix</div><div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center"><br /></div><div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center"><br /></div><div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center">Hubby<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIpo44ZNsV7ThkDn0oupNEzW6Dr5wics8WSSs7jl_JOjJTvFIFIK_KlOhzVXih5bd2Hvk8YgoApprhyphenhyphenDdB0xsdymc_h7D27KjlzOCKnUZAssW6PeH-mFDXrM-dobeetbntVepxV_Y25Ovj/s1600-h/CIMG2938.JPG"><span style="COLOR: rgb(0,0,0)" class="Apple-style-span"> and one of his best friends, Bryan... goofballs<br /></span><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: pointer" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5338059624371393954" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIpo44ZNsV7ThkDn0oupNEzW6Dr5wics8WSSs7jl_JOjJTvFIFIK_KlOhzVXih5bd2Hvk8YgoApprhyphenhyphenDdB0xsdymc_h7D27KjlzOCKnUZAssW6PeH-mFDXrM-dobeetbntVepxV_Y25Ovj/s320/CIMG2938.JPG" /></a></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1552315149484270168.post-42399087855901939732009-04-03T19:42:00.001-07:002010-02-19T10:31:32.525-08:00Leaving on a Jet Plane!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0yzXCcnTStmKY81shZy0sAOytiuc3LMCFCIsqJgIj0KxLb6lCfvpegrEpj_qe9FmfSEWC0ntIr7u6Mh22YJCgsXwLaDUAw_u_uI7SfygmJgBWhfkD8Te5MfyorfyxIxvAMmG6NIQCDkqu/s1600-h/mike.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 213px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5320661765445304130" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0yzXCcnTStmKY81shZy0sAOytiuc3LMCFCIsqJgIj0KxLb6lCfvpegrEpj_qe9FmfSEWC0ntIr7u6Mh22YJCgsXwLaDUAw_u_uI7SfygmJgBWhfkD8Te5MfyorfyxIxvAMmG6NIQCDkqu/s320/mike.jpg" /></a><br />My cute little brother just got called to the Brazil Sao Paulo mission. Hubby and I met May 14, 2007. We were introduced by one of my friends from my spring semester sign language class. I guess you could say it was love at first sight; him looking amazing as I opened the door and me, standing there in my pink sweats and green tee shirt, nice and sweaty right back from the gym. For whatever reason he decided to pursue me, even with such a terrible intro on my part, and we saw each other every day for a month till I left to go home for summer in California. We had been dating for 11 months when he proposed on April 14th. We were married in the Newport Beach Temple on August 14th. Our reception was at the Turnip Rose in Newport; a wonderful Spanish style venue. Here are just a few pictures from the best day of my life....<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 209px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5320137252401221666" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuMqsoX0PMU61DxObNyeU45rzsPeBH-CeB4ZSzgqS-gO4qVLEcVBSYbP1wfu-DFZmdU22e8XdG-VKn_LgfhWBr-ZlmwCXun6Sq6-Ax7uhxS2O83KHq2tEYo2UqReBfxy7W9hTATIl4iyBs/s320/wed5.jpg" />Our families on the steps of the temple.
